A Poem for my beloved Tasha..

To start with my memoirs......

I will lend you for a while, a German Shepherd pup, God said,
For you to love her while she stays with you, and cry for her when she's lost.
 

Mostly for twelve or fourteen years for all, but for you just two or three,
But will you, 'till I find her back, take care of her for me.

She'll bring her charms to gladden you and should her stay be brief,
You'll always have her memories as solace for your grief. 

I fancied that I heard you say "Dear Lord Thy Will be Done,"
For all the joys this pup will bring, the risk of grief you'll run.
 
You'll shelter her with tenderness, You'll love her while she stay,

And for the happiness we've known forever grateful stay.
